The WilloBAG Collection

In our never-ending quest to design for style and sustainability, we are proud to introduce our first Willoughby-designed product collection. What began as a holiday gift for our clients in 2007 has grown into a line of WilloBAG tote bags.

Our original concept was to create a Willoughby branded, stylish, reusable bag design. Seems simple, right? We came up with a huge array of fun design concepts but once we put them on the bags we were considering, nothing was working. Then we realized the problem went deeper than the graphics. It was the big, awkward bags. And even more importantly, we all had piles of bags at home but we were always forgetting to transport them to the store.

So, instead of thinking about just putting another trendy graphic on a predictable bag, we started looking for bags that could function as both a fun accessory and be easier to store in your car purse, pocket or pack so you actually remember to use it. This realization led to the “don’t forget the bag” concept.

Our boldly colored WilloBAG collection includes five designs, each featuring graphics and messaging that playfully reminds you: “don’t forget the… ArtiTOTE, BAGnanas, TOTEmatoes, CaBAGe or CARROT-ALL.” Manufactured by BAGGU bags from 100% ripstop, machine-washable nylon, each WilloBAG holds about as much as three plastic bags. When you are finished, it folds into an easy-to-store pouch.

The ArtiTOTE recently received an award of merit from HOW Magazine’s 2008 Promotion Design Awards in the designer promotions category and a 2007 Kansas City Addy in the self promotion category.
